The CP210x Manufacturing DLL and Runtime DLL have been updated and must be used with v6.0 and later of the CP210x Windows VCP Driver. So, I'm not so sure what might be wrong with my normal method of providing power to the board, but it turns out that the USB to UART bridge only works when I have my board power coming from the bridge. The CP210x USB to UART Bridge Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers are required for device operation as a Virtual COM Port to facilitate host communication with CP210x products. Uploading sketches is no longer a problem. However with the latest update to OS Catalina 10.15.6 today, nothing works anymore. ![]() (I actually had it wired that way when I installed the correct driver, but I didn't know at the time that this was necessary.)Įverything is just dandy now.
